At Spring Valley we like to kick the summer off right. We encourage all horse lovers to join us at Horse Camp for a week of fun and the best professional riding instuction in Alabama!

Camp is Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, and early drop off is acceptable. Overnighters are welcomed. Lunch and snacks are provided.

Each morning begins with extensive riding. During lunch, the morning rides are reviewed to refresh the instruction and keep young riders focused on proper riding skills. After lunch, we will have either crafts or an interactive lecture from a local professional.

This week-long program emphasizes all aspects of horsemanship. Students learn and practice tacking, grooming, and riding, among other skills. They leave this program as better horsemen.

Students must provide the following:

• Proper riding attire
• Bathing suit & change of shorts for afternoon cool-off
• Water bottle for use throughout the day

Advanced students will be doing something new and exciting this year! We will spend two (2) days on the farm learning about safety, emergency first aid for horse and rider, and about measures that can be taken to prevent some issues.

All this in preparation for three (3) days and two (2) nights camping with the horses! We will be staying at a campground facility that offers horse accommodations.

The cost is $400 and the dates on this one are still pending.
